On this site are recent paintings done in oil. I primarily use a palette knife. I love the thick texture and the happy little mistakes that happen along the creative process.
It was spring in Minnesota and the calm waters of this small lake drew my attention. The deep blue water against the fading dried underbrush, leads the viewer's attention to the center of my small masterpiece.
Kathy, I see you joined the Daily Paintworks. Have you had success there? You are doing a lot more paintings...8 already this year when you have had a total of 12 or 13 for the year in 2011 and 13. Great landscapes, I love your trees.
